“And endure you patiently [O Muhammad], your patience is not but from Allah…” Qur’an (16:127) In general, patience is defined as the capacity to endure pain, trouble, and inconvenience, but Islam has added a spiritual dimension to endure hardships for the sake of Allah. Although verse 16:127 is addressing the Prophet (pbuh) who was the paragon of patience, but it sets a criterion for all Muslims.
